Characteristics and Purposes
Ø PEW-0512 is a polyethylene wax used for water-based systems, and is compatible for the water-based and solvent-based ink and coatings.
Ø PEW-0512 can be used for water-based inks, UV, and water-based paints, provide anti-blocking, scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, dirt resistance. Also provides good gloss, smooth soft-feel, and better hydrophobicity.
Ø It can provide the coating with good hardness, and excellent wear resistance, those effects which wax emulsions can not achieve. With excellent dispercity and can help to obtain good gloss at the same time, it also provide very good transparency in solvent-based systems.
Ø It has good compatibility for fillers, pigments, metallic pigments, and resistant to precipitation.

Addition and Method of Use
Ø In a variety of systems, the additional amount of the micronized wax is generally between 0.5 to 3%.
Ø It can disperse in solvent-based coatings and printing inks usually by a direct high-speed stirring.
Ø It can be added through the using of a variety of grinding machines, high-shear dispersing equipment.
Ø Can make wax slurry first, and add into the systems when needed, by which can reduce the dispersion time.
