What wax powder is best for UV silk screen snowflakes? There are many types of screen printing inks, including those used on ABS, PC, PMMA, PA, metal substrates, paper and other substrates. High-end UV snowflake inks such as those used on cigarette and wine packages require uniform fineness of wax powder. At the same time, the flower effect should be delicate, the gloss should be matte, and the scratch resistance should be good. How to choose the right snowflake wax powder?

1. Wire drawing. Due to the large molecular weight and strong viscosity of the binder in the ink, when the printing plate is lifted, many ink filaments appear on the back of the screen, which is called wire drawing. This is a taboo phenomenon in silk screen printing. It not only makes the printed matter and screen dirty, but also makes silk screen printing impossible. Therefore, the silk screen ink is required to have the basic performance of not having wire drawing during the printing process.

2. Viscosity. Viscosity is the resistance to fluid flow, also known as internal friction coefficient or viscosity coefficient. If the viscosity of the ink is too high, it will not be easy to transfer to the substrate through the screen, causing printing difficulties and incomplete imprints; if the viscosity is too low, the imprint will expand, affecting the printing quality and even causing waste.
3. Drying performance. The requirements for drying performance of screen printing are: the ink can not dry and form a film on the screen for a long time, and after printing, it is required to dry as much as possible on the substrate. When multi-color continuous overprinting, the requirements for the drying performance of screen printing ink are higher.
4. Fluidity. Fluidity is a characterization of the flow performance of the fluid. The fluidity of the ink can be regarded as the degree to which a certain amount of ink flows naturally on a flat surface within a certain period of time without the action of external force. The fluidity of the ink is generally controlled at 30 to 50 mm. The greater the fluidity of the ink, the easier it is to expand the imprint, making it easier to merge fine lines with small gaps; the smaller the fluidity, the easier it is to break the imprint line and lack ink, and printing is also difficult.
5. Thixotropy. Thixotropy refers to the property of the fluid that causes the change of flow performance under the action of external force. For example, in the process of screen printing, the reversible phenomenon that the ink becomes thicker after being still for a certain period of time and becomes thinner after being stirred can be explained by the concept of thixotropy. Because the shape of the pigment particles in the ink is irregular, even if a layer of binder is adsorbed, it is also an irregular particle. After being still for a certain period of time, the pigment particles will contact or be very close to each other, the attraction will increase, and the ink will become thicker and stickier. This temporarily stable structure will be quickly destroyed under external force stirring, the attraction between the particles will weaken, the fluidity will increase, the ink will become thinner, and the viscosity will decrease.

TIANSHI UV screen printing special snowflake wax powder has the characteristics of fine texture, matte, scratch resistance, etc., which can meet the requirements of screen printing snowflake ink.
