What is the use of PE wax emulsion? PE wax has the characteristics of high melting point, high hardness, high gloss, white color, etc. It is a low molecular weight polyethylene homopolymer or copolymer widely used in coatings.

1. PE wax can be used as a lubricant for extrusion, calendering and injection molding: it can improve processing efficiency, prevent adhesion of films, pipes and sheets, improve the finish and gloss of finished products, and improve the appearance of finished products.

2. As a concentrated masterbatch dispersant for various thermoplastic resins, as well as a filling masterbatch and lubricating dispersant for degradable masterbatches, it can improve the processing performance, surface gloss, lubricity and thermal stability of HDPE, PP and PVC.

3. Ink: It can be used as a dispersant and brightener for road marking paint and line drawing paint. It has a good anti-sedimentation effect, giving the product a good gloss and three-dimensional sense.

4. As a lubricant, it has stable chemical properties and good electrical properties. Polyethylene wax has good compatibility with polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl wax acid, ethylene propylene rubber and butyl rubber. It can improve the fluidity of polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS and the demoulding property of polymethyl methacrylate and polycarbonate.

Characteristics of wax in coating:

(1) Wear resistance, scratch resistance and abrasion resistance: wax is distributed in the coating to protect the coating, prevent scratches and abrasions and provide wear resistance; for example, container coatings, wood coatings, decorative coatings, etc. all require this function.

(2) Control friction coefficient: usually use its low friction coefficient to provide excellent smoothness of the coating, and at the same time, it has a special silky soft touch due to different types of wax.

(3) Chemical resistance: due to the stability of wax, it can give the coating better water resistance, salt spray resistance and other properties.

(4) Prevent adhesion: avoid the phenomenon of back adhesion and adhesion of the coated or printed objects.

(5) Control gloss: choose the appropriate wax, and different matting effects will be achieved according to the different addition amounts.

(6) Prevent the deposition of hardening of silica and increase the storage stability of the coating.

(7) Prevent metal scratches: Especially in printing can coatings, in addition to providing good processability, it can also protect the storage stability of printing cans.

Polyethylene wax (PE wax), also known as polymer wax, is widely used due to its excellent cold resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance and wear resistance. In normal production, this part of wax can be directly added to polyolefin processing as an additive, which can increase the gloss and processing performance of the product.
