The principle is that there are many small holes on the surface of the matting powder, and the uneven holes make the light reflect poorly, thereby matting it. However, the small holes solved the matting problem, but caused other problems.

UV ink also contains solvents. If there is no solvent, the viscosity of UV ink will be very high. The small pores of these matting powders will absorb these solvents, so in products with relatively sensitive viscosity such as UV ink, the fire light can easily absorb the solvent, causing the viscosity of the UV ink to increase, making it sticky or agglomerated. The longer the time, the greater the viscosity, and even completely destroys the application effect of UV ink.

Another category is wax powder. Some manufacturers use polyamide wax powder. After adding matting wax powder and stirring, a lot of foam will form, seriously affecting the UV ink system. Adding defoamer will affect the recoatability of UV ink, and recoatability is one of the important indicators of UV ink. When the mixed wax powder of TIANSHI PE/PTFE and Brazilian palm wax is added as matting wax powder and stirred, it will not foam and almost does not absorb oil. It has no effect on the viscosity, so there is no need to add other additives. It has no effect on recoatability.
