The role of polyethylene wax in hot melt adhesives

2022-01-24   Pageview:1007

As a new synthetic wax, polyethylene wax is not only an important auxiliary for masterbatches and PVC, but also can be used in hot melt adhesives as dispersant.

When polyethylene wax is added, hot melt adhesives gain excellent temperature stability and are used in different kinds of plastics such as PC, PS, PA, ABS, POM, PET, PP for PE.

Due to this temperature thermal stability creates a better application of polyethylene wax in hot melt adhesives.

Advantages
●Mw-2000 molecular weight polymer (non-migration, low volatility)
● excellent thermal stability (no yellowing, does not affect resin color)
● High compatibility (polarity adjustment)
●Surface properties (smooth, glossy, no precipitation)

1, excellent lubricity, cold resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance and wear resistance.

2, with low viscosity, high softening point. Good hardness, non-toxic, good thermal stability, low volatility at high temperature and other properties. As a lubricant, it has stable chemical properties and good electrical properties.

3, improve the surface gloss of products, and have excellent dispersion of pigments.

4, as an additive can be added directly to the polyolefin processing, it can increase the glossiness of the product.

5, Improve extrusion efficiency. Greatly improve the processing performance, improve the fluidity of the process, and increase the extrusion efficiency of the products.

6, improve the meltability and prevent the frost spraying phenomenon. Improve the bad phenomenon of product surface. Eliminate melt rupture during plastic processing, reduce the irregularity of film surface and frost spraying phenomenon due to excessive pressure formation.
