Mildew resistance test
The mildew resistance test of the coating film in my country is generally carried out in accordance with GB/T1741-79 “Testing Method for Mold Resistance of Paint Film”. The strains used are Aspergillus flavus, pp wax paper Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus sabrii, Aspergillus terreus, Aspergillus pyogenes, Penicillium chrysogenum, Paecilomyces, Cladosporium, Chaetomium and Trichoderma, cultivated at 29~30℃ for 14 days. The situation is divided into five grades of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 0 means that there is no mold growth.

After passing the test, Li Xiong and others believe that for GB/T1741-79, using potato dextrose medium (PDA) and directly coating the PDA with the paint film can reduce test errors and improve the accuracy of the test results.
The latest version of ASTM D 5590-94 “4-week agar plate accelerated determination of the anti-mold properties of coatings and related coatings” is ASTM D 5594-2000, using molds as shown in Table 10-14. Cultivate for 4 weeks under the condition of 28℃ and RH=85%~90%. According to the condition of mould growth, it will be rated as 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 to determine the anti-mildew property.

British Standard BS3900PartG 6-1989 is also a test method for the mildew resistance of the coating film.
Shi Yumei et al. 123] discussed the anti-mildew aging test method, and concluded that after 250h artificial aging according to GB/T1865-1997, the anti-mildew effect was measured according to GB/T1741, or the paint was applied to the filter paper and dried. In flowing water for 24 hours, then drying in the air at room temperature to 65°C, this operation is a cycle, and multiple cycles can be performed as needed, such as 4 cycles, and then the mold resistance is measured according to GB/T1741, so as to compare the differences. The duration of the antifungal properties of the antifungal agent is the antifungal timeliness.
