Water-based coatings include: water-based inks, water-based printing pastes, water-based lacquers, etc. Commonly used yellow pigments for water-based coatings are as follows.
Sunlight resistant yellow G (Pigment yellow 1): greenish yellow, single azo class, excellent light fastness grade 5, particle shape: rod-shaped body; covering power: translucent type.
Sunlight resistant yellow 10G (Pigment yellow 3): bright greenish yellow, single azo class, excellent light fastness, particle shape: rod-shaped; covering power: translucent type.
Benzidine yellow G (Pigment yellow 12): neutral yellow, double azo class, high color strength and vividness and transparency, particle shape: stick; hiding power: translucent/transparent.
Permanent solid yellow GR (Pigment yellow 13): red yellow, double azo class, light fastness 1~2 levels higher than pigment yellow 12, high coloring strength, covering power: translucent.
Permanent solid yellow 2GS (Pigment yellow 14): greenish yellow, double azo class, pure color, high coloring strength, lightfastness of 4~5 grade.
Pigment yellow 17 (Pigment yellow 17): greenish yellow, high transparency, double azo class, lightfastness (1/3SD) 4~5, covering power: transparent type.
Pigment yellow 65 (Pigment yellow 65): bright red yellow, single azo class, particle shape: rod; high covering power, good solvent resistance, light fastness; special for road paint, micronized ptfe sds can used for paint/coatings.
Hansa bright yellow 5GX (Pigment yellow 74): bright yellow, single azo class, high tinting strength, covering power: translucent/transparent; particle shape: stick or needle.
Benzidine yellow 10G (Pigment yellow 81): bright green yellow, double azo class, high light fastness, good heat and solvent resistance, particle shape: cubic; hiding power: translucent.
Permanent solid yellow HR (Pigment yellow 83): red light yellow, double azo class, excellent light fastness, heat resistance and solvent resistance, particle shape: needle; covering power: transparent.
Pigment yellow 180 also known as benzimidazolone yellow HG (Pigment yellow 180): greenish yellow, benzimidazolone class, light fastness 6~7, good dispersibility and flocculation stability.
